Matoppo Inn is a beautifully restored Drostdy building, dating back to the 17th century and is situated within a sprawling, lush garden estate in the heart of Beaufort West, Karoo, Western Cape.

We offer 14 tastefully, individually decorated rooms that are all equipped with:

Dining at Matoppo Inn

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a dining room which dates back to the 1830's. High wooden ceilings create an ambience of yester year and large sash windows allow crisp Karoo air and sunlight into a room where magnificent dinners, state functions and balls were once held on the gleaming yellow wood floors.

Dinner is served beside a crackling fire to banish the Karoo winter chill. In summer, Karoo cuisine can be enjoyed in the courtyard or in the privacy of your own air-conditioned room. Chefs prepare a 3-course meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner must be booked in advance.

Conferencing & Functions

Conference venue can accommodate 80 pax. Beautifully manicured gardens, lovely venue for a function, can accommodate up to 120 people in the wedding venue. Please contact us for a quotation.
